Join Friends of the Earth and the Wilderhood Watch to learn all about bats

St Albans District Friends of the Earth is getting together with the Wilderhood Watch to bring you an evening of everything you need to know about bats.

From information about local bat populations, some of the challenges they are facing and how you can help, you'll leave with a better understanding of bats and some easy actions that you can take to help these amazing creatures.

The meeting is at 7pm at Highfield Park visitor centre on Friday 14th March as part of this year's SustFest Season.

Arrive from 6.30 to enjoy a cuppa and some home made goodies and check out the free bat friendly seeds and plants kindly provided by Wilderhood Watch volunteers.

From 7pm speakers will include the extremely knowledgeable Heidi Mansell of the Herts and Middlesex Wildlife Trust, who will talk about local bat populations, and Liz Leicester of Wild Jam who will talk about their exciting new initiative to map bat activity on St Albans streets and allotments.

We'll finish around 8pm with more time afterwards for chat and questions.

The evening is free, but donations on the evening are welcome.
All ages can come along but under 18s must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
